Luis arriveert met zijn zoontje Esteban op een illegale rave diep in de woestijn in Zuid-Marokko. Hij is op zoek naar zijn dochter Mar, die maanden geleden verdween tijdens een van deze grenzeloze feesten. Wanhopig op zoek naar een laatste spoor van Mar volgen ze een groep ravers nog dieper de woestijn in. Dit wordt een fysieke en spirituele trip, begeleid door een hypnotiserende soundtrack.

De Marokkaanse woestijn vormt de imponerende achtergrond van deze gevaarlijke zoektocht, met een aantal memorabele momenten die de Spaanse regisseur Oliver Laxe (Mimosas) definitief op de kaart zetten. Naast acteur Sergi López (Pan’s Labyrinth, Lazzaro Felice) doet Laxe voornamelijk een beroep op een onervaren cast. A spectacular road trip movie, in which a missing daughter, desert sands and the electronic beats of Kangding Ray together create a unique cinematic experience.

Luis arrives with his son Esteban at an illegal rave deep in the desert of southern Morocco. He’s searching for his daughter Mar, who disappeared months ago at a similar wild rave-up. Desperate to find Mar’s last whereabouts, they follow a group of ravers even deeper into the desert. This turns into a physical and spiritual journey, accompanied by a hypnotic soundtrack.

The Moroccan desert forms the impressive backdrop to this perilous quest, with several memorable moments that put Spanish director Oliver Laxe (Mimosas) firmly on the map. In addition to actor Sergi López (Pan’s Labyrinth, Lazzaro felice), Laxe mainly relies on an inexperienced cast.
