Albert en Bruno hebben nogal een potje gemaakt van hun leven en zitten tot over hun nek in de schulden. Ze proberen met list en bedrog te overleven. Op een dag worden ze door een groep milieuactivisten uitgenodigd voor een discussie over sociale rechtvaardigheid. Dit biedt hen gratis drank en, onbedoeld, nieuwe kansen. Onder leiding van de jonge activiste Valentine proberen ze de wereld met ludieke acties een spiegel voor te houden. Albert en Bruno laten zich meeslepen en krijgen langzamerhand een steeds prominentere rol binnen de beweging.

In different ways Albert and Bruno have messed up their lives. Now, up to their ears in debt, they are using cunning and deceit to get by. One day a group of environmental activists invites them to join a discussion about social justice. Attracted by the free drinks, Albert and Bruno soon find new opportunities coming their way. Led by Valentine, a young activist, they carry out campaign stunts intended to wake people up to their impact on the world. Happy to go with the flow, Albert and Bruno find themselves gradually gaining status within the movement.
