Andras – Film concert with Sofia Dragt
The film concert Andras will be the festive setting for the presentation of singer Sofia Dragt’s new album, Still Here. The blend of Sofia’s new live music with the atmospheric footage creates a unique experience in the special ambience of our movie theatre!
Special tickets: € 12.50 (includes a sparkling drink)
Her live show, combined with the film of the same name by Jonathan Smith, draws you into the world of an Andras: a woman who has extraordinary powers, who does not always have them under control. She is constantly on the run, trying to avoid being found out in a society where she is not accepted.
Sofia Dragt, from Wageningen, is a singer-songwriter who composes unaffected songs with a classic undertone – songs that go right to your head. In 2013 she won the prestigious Grote Prijs van Nederland; she has played at venues including Paradiso, the Melkweg and many festivals in this country and abroad.
Only 12 years old when she wrote her first song, Sofia has already had quite a career. For six months of 2008 she played, with an international group of young people, in a different city each week in the United States, Mexico and Thailand. May 2013 saw the release of her first EP, Rainbows. Her debut album I See You was presented on 30 October 2014 at Paradiso. Early in 2015 the single ‘Born In The Flames’ came out, followed by performances in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France. In addition, and especially for the film Ze Kent Me Nog, Sofia recorded the single ‘Sing Each Other To Sleep’; she donated all proceeds from its sales to Alzheimer Nederland. The concept for the short film Andras took shape in 2017 and is now part of her live show involving the presentation of her newest album, Still Here.
