The Salesman
Emad and his wife Rana move into a new apartment in Teheran. Shortly after, Rana is the victim of a sudden and traumatic attack. Emad is shocked and seeks his own revenge, unwittingly opening up a rift between the couple.
Last year The Salesman won the Oscar for best foreign language film. As in Farhadi’s previous work, the plot is brilliantly constructed. A seamless flow of subtle twists, nuances and emotions results in a dialogue-rich mix of drama, thriller and mystery, in which themes such as pride, revenge and empathy play a central role.
