The realistic, feel-good Italian film In Grazia Di Dio, set in 2014, portrays the story of three women: the sisters Adele and Maria and daughter Ina. As a result of the economic crisis and a failed attempt by the man of the house to escape financial ruin, they are forced to sell their home and move to the countryside.
Fortunately they still own a beautiful olive grove with a garden house on the coast of the Salento peninsula. Here, they are obliged to cultivate the land in order to produce their own food. Gradually they discover the charms of this new lifestyle, although initially sister and daughter see things differently; rather than dirtying their hands with soil Maria dedicates herself to her doubtful acting career while Ina ardently liaises with the town’s young men. However, as unexpected encounters and the affable peace of their divine surroundings steadily affirm their trust in their own strength, happiness slowly returns to their lives.
