Wry, romantic fairy tale from Hungary about the unworldly Liza, who is desperately searching for the right man. Her already difficult quest is made almost impossible by a jealous Japanese spirit. This colourful and highly original film won numerous festival awards, including the Award for Best Film at the Imagine Film Festival 2015.
As a nurse, the young Liza works day and night taking care of an old widow with a passion for Japan. Liza’s greatest wish is to find romantic love on her thirtieth birthday. But the only contact she has is with the spirit of a Japanese pop singer. He turns out to be a demon who is sabotaging her every effort. When men start dropping dead around her, she starts to fear that she herself has become a demon: a fox-fairy. Burt detective Zoltan, who is charged with trailing her, is convinced of her innocence.
Preceding film: Edmond by Nina Gantz. In this short puppet animation Edmond reflects on his life and searches out the decisive moments in his love affairs. Winner of various awards, including Best Short Animation Film 2016 at the Sundance Festival.
