A large three-master packed with a group of adventurous artists and scientists sets sail for the breath-taking landscapes of the north. Their final destination is the rapidly melting ice world of Greenland. The company plans to investigate the source of life and the end of civilisation. This will be an epic voyage in which the brave travellers are confronted with nightmares about polar bears, sites dating back to the Stone Age and new species. The ice caps are melting and unquestionably this will have an effect on the world as we know it today, but is it actually a bad thing? What or who will come after us?
Expedition to the End of the World is a film that relies successfully on curiosity, big feelings and a liberating dose of humour. Thanks to this combination, it has won many prizes, including the Jury Prize at the DOCVILLE Film Festival in 2013.
