Hun impact is groot, de gevolgen verwoestend.

Nature in the Netherlands is in big trouble. Our groundwater is becoming polluted, nature reserves are fragmenting and the soil is drying out. There are plenty of reasons for politicians to focus on nature restoration, but here and abroad the opposite is happening. Giant agricultural corporations are seeking and gaining support from leaders who are abolishing environmental regulations: Bolsonaro in the Amazon, Trump in Washington, BBB ministers in the Netherlands. The resulting impact is enormous, the consequences devastating.
How have the multinationals behind meat, animal feed and pesticides managed to exert so much influence in our parliamentary democracy? And was the meteoric rise of the Farmer–Citizen Movement (BBB) in the Netherlands the result of a farmers’ uprising or of a strategy by large agricultural corporations and an advertising agency working for them?
